Hi, I’m Mia Lavalee

I’m a certified relationship coach and online dating expert who has personally tested over 100 dating apps across 12 years. Since launching WeWillMeet in December 2024, I’ve published 61+ in-depth reviews and comparisons that help singles across the United States find the right dating platform for their specific needs.

My Story — Why I Started Testing Dating Apps

Back in 2014, I found myself single after a long-term relationship ended. Like millions of others, I turned to dating apps — and I was overwhelmed. Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid, Match, eHarmony, Plenty of Fish… the options seemed endless, but the guidance was terrible. Every “review” site was either paid promotion or generic content written by someone who had never actually used the apps.

So I started testing them myself. What began as personal curiosity turned into a methodical research project. I created identical profiles on 14 different apps, used the same photos, tested the same cities, and documented everything. The results were eye-opening — and I’ve been sharing them ever since.

My Testing Methodology

Every review on this site follows the same rigorous methodology:

1. Profile Creation

I create real, authentic profiles on each dating platform — complete with genuine photos, thoughtful bios, and honest information. No fake personas, no misleading photos.

2. 30-Day Minimum Testing Period

Each app is tested for a minimum of 30 days of active use. I send messages, engage in conversations, and whenever possible, go on real dates. This gives me genuine experience with the app’s matching algorithm, user base, and overall dynamics.

3. Multi-City Testing

I test apps across different US cities — primarily New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and smaller markets. A dating app that works great in Manhattan might be dead in a mid-sized Midwestern city, and I want you to know the difference.

4. Data Collection

For each app I track: match rate, response rate, conversation quality, date conversion rate, gender ratio, age distribution, pricing (all tiers), and user experience quality. Every number you see in my reviews is real data from my testing.

5. Ongoing Updates

Dating apps change constantly — pricing updates, feature launches, algorithm changes. I revisit and update my reviews regularly to ensure the information stays current. Every article on this site is updated at least every 6 months.
